This past weekend, members of JWC of Lake Murray joined other local clubs at the Midlands District Conference in Batesburg-Leesville.  The meeting was held at the Historic Train Depot, hosted by the Woman's Society of Batesburg-Leesville.  It was an exciting meeting to learn about all that has happened in the Midlands District this year, and all the great projects and activities that are planned for 2013-2014.

JWC of Lake Murray asked for other clubs to recommend new members to our club for our September Membership Social and invited everyone to join us in December for our 2nd Annual Holiday Tour of Homes.

Elections for the remainder of the current Presidential term and for the 2014-2016 Presidential term for Midlands District were held.  We are proud to say that our own Past President Jill Jackson Holt was elected to serve as the 2014-2016 Midlands District President.  Jill is looking forward to increasing the involvement of Junior Clubwomen in the GFWC-SC and GFWC organization.  We look forward to supporting her throughout her term.

JWC of Lake Murray was also awarded the Midlands District Net Gain Silver Membership Award for 2012!  We hope to receive the award again at the next conference!
