South Carolina Troopers Association

The Junior Women's Club of Lake Murray and the Lake Murray-Irmo Woman's Club made a joint donation this week to the South Carolina Troopers Association

The SC Troopers Association (SCTA) was formed in 1987 and the purpose of SCTA is to achieve the best and most effective ways for the South Carolina Department of Public Safety and Highway Patrol to serve the citizens of South Carolina. The SC Troopers Association strives to upgrade the working conditions, equipment, and other aspects of employment with the Highway Patrol, as well as stimulate mutual cooperation among law enforcement agencies statewide.

The SC Troopers Association began when four SC State Troopers recognized the need to organize a professional association for State Highway Patrol Officers. Today, SCTA proudly represents over 90% of active-duty South Carolina State Troopers and a growing number of SC Bureau of Protective Services and SC State Transport Police officers.

Thank you, SC Troopers Association, for all you do to serve the citizens of the Palmetto State!
