Be the Inspiration!

The Junior Women’s Club of Lake Murray is in the midst of the 2019-2020 club year! Our theme this year is, “Be the Inspiration.” We hope to inspire others and be inspired through our involvement in community service projects!

Projects we have completed this year include:

  • Cooking & selling okra with the Lake Murray-Irmo Woman's Club at the Okra Strut
  • Collecting & donating shoes for Soles4Souls
  • Donating items for cancer patients at SC Oncology Associates
  • Fundraising & Volunteering at Nancy K. Perry Children's Shelter
  • Volunteering for the annual fundraiser for Leeza's Care Connection
  • Providing Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas gifts to a family in need at Prisma Health Children's Hospital
  • Donating non-perishable food items to Harvest Hope Food Bank
  • Participating in Build Days through Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity
  • Fundraising for SCOA Cares through organizing a donation-based yoga class
Interested in joining our group? Check out what these current members have to say about the Junior Women’s Club of Lake Murray.

“I joined the Junior Women’s Club of Lake Murray four years ago to have the opportunity to serve the community and meet new people since I was relatively new to the Lexington area. Along the way I have participated in some great service projects as well as have met some amazing ladies who are equally as passionate as giving back. The club meetings, socials and service projects are great ways to take a break from the stress of work.”  Courtney W

“In general, I’d have to say my favorite part about the club is that it provides a chance to get together with like-minded young women to find simple ways to uplift our community while also having a great time building friendships with one another.” Megan Y

“I joined Junior Women’s Club so that I could be a part of a group of women that are helping others and making our local area a better place. So far my favorite event was our Barre class fundraiser that raised money for SC Oncology Associates cancer patients.” Michelle B
